Omni Dallas Hotel
Dallas, Texas

The Omni Dallas Hotel, owned by the City of Dallas, opened its doors on November 11, 2011, featuring 1,001 guest rooms, including 67 luxury suites and three presidential suites. Omni Dallas Hotel is built to meet the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Silver Certification standards, placing it on the forefront of environmental awareness and conservation in the city.

The 110,000 square feet of meeting space is comprised of 39 meeting rooms and two ballrooms. Dining at the hotel consists of three differently themed venues, the Owner's Box that's a state-of the art interactive sports bar and Omni's Gourmet Coffee Shop. The hotel includes a full-service Mokara Spa, rooftop terrace pool deck and a spacious fitness center with panoramic views of downtown. A visually bold and interactive façade lighting scheme is achieved with linear programmable LED fixtures, custom designed by LLD, covering over 3.5 miles in total length. The 1.5" diameter fixture illuminates the entire channel in the curtain wall, magnifying the lighting effect. The client required the building to be seen from 1 mile away and were tested with extensive full scale mockups. The lighting and advertising function of the lighting system was negotiated heavily with city officials. The stunning, dynamic facade is a beacon for the new downtown entertainment district and has become an anchor in the city skyline.
