Wailea Beach Resort Marriott

LLD started this project in early 2015 by making a site visit to review the resort’s existing interior and exterior conditions and to get a handle on the operator and client’s expectation. With a great history and project site in Wailea, the resort has the lowest room rate of all the side by site resorts on either side of them. Careful targeting on budget projected to raise room rates significantly we, LLD, and the remainder of the team were “all in” on the task ahead. LLD’s scope of work encompassed all FOH public common spaces. Call them interior, but most were operated most of the time as open air. LLD also performed design services on the whole site from the entry road to the open air lobby / porte cochere, creating an exciting, welcoming experience not known in the Wailea area before. LLD also performed service upgrading all site, pool decks, and a new multi-story water park with kid’s water slides; also a first for Wailea. Over a period of almost 2 years through design and construction, the end results were better than anticipated and placed the resort in a much higher position among the Wailea resorts.
