The Four Seasons Hotel at Kingdom Center
Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Over time the project name changed to the Jeddah Tower, but that did not change the goal to be the first mile-high building ever constructed. Design commenced for LLD in August of 2015 and construction documents were issued 2 years later in 2017. The project was already under construction which was shut down after 60 stories of the concrete structure was completed. Rumors on a yearly basis arose about plans to re-start construction but no real progress has been made. Although a mixed use tower with many different uses the LLD scope of work consisted of the Four Seasons Branded Residences on Levels 94 through Level 114, and the hotel and related spaces were on Levels 115 through 156 and an Observation Deck at Level 157. We were really looking forward to standing outside looking at the view. LLD’s scope also included the ground level project lobbies. A very ambitious building inspired an amazing interior design that was challenging to illuminate but rewarding. Multiple Meeting Venues, Restaurants, a whole level international Spa are just some of the spaces in the LLD scope of work. The building shape is a tapered one, so every floor has a slightly different floor plate amounting to quite a number of hotel guestroom and suite types and of course branded residences as well.
