Natural elements of Texas limestone and white oak set the tone of this residence that carefully blended modern and traditional design elements. Careful consideration was taken with the developed lighting design to bring out the textures of the materials and to target aspects throughout the house to accent light to create a mood that is soothing when needed and vibrant for other times that may involve entertaining. Coordination with the contractor and structural framing was important to make sure recessed fixtures were organized in the ceilings throughout the client’s view while they live in the house day to day. Layers lighting controls were a must to deal with the different lighting from the expansive windows throughout the day.
Lang Lighting Design’s scope of work included the design of all front of house lighting and exterior building façade and terraces.
