The Four Seasons Hotel Orlando at Walt Disney World

The Four Seasons at Disney World Resort is a 443 guestroom / 68 suite resort hotel offering 38,000 square feet of meeting and function space. Other areas in the LLD scope included a 13,000 square foot spa, salon, fitness area, 5 food and beverage venues, and over 25,000 square feet of a pool and lazy river area with two 242 feet long water slides. Significant coordination was needed to maintain views from the resort to the Disney firework shows at night; the sensitivity of the lighting was key in this effort.
LLD scope of work included the design of all public interior spaces of the hotel. Design responsibilities also included the exterior illumination of all buildings and the project site including multiple pools, pool decks and water park. New lighting source technologies were implemented for energy savings for the first time in a Four Seasons property. Very strict budgetary constraints were dealt with over the extent of the design period, inspiring creative solutions and techniques applicable for a very high-end resort. Close attention was spent on creating an experience for families experiencing the wonders of the Walt Disney World Resort.
