Located in the heart of Atlanta in the Centennial Park District, the second half of this rennovation project occurred in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic. Careful planning and safety protocols allowed the project to complete in a very successful way, despite all the challenges. LLD faced budget restrictions that had us salvaging as many existing recessed fixtures as was reasonable. On-site surveys determined how remaining fixtures would be updated to modern-day LED sources that performed to illumination levels required by Omni standards. This occurred over several days without disturbing a fully operating hotel. The client went ahead with the LLD recommendation to replace and re-do the entire front of house public area lighting control system and in the end, made a significant difference on the final look and feel of the project. LLD scope of work encompassed main lobby and lounge spaces, a new sports bar, a retail/sundry shop, a formal lobby bar, and connecting public circulation spaces all the way from the motor court drop off to the hotel’s Registration Desk.
